Giving Your Heart...Electronically
We are grateful for the faithful support many give to the mission of this congregation. Envelopes go into the plate each Sunday, and checks come through the mail with great consistency. Thank you! Now we are happy to tell you that a new way is available for you to meet your faith commitment to the mission of this congregation. It's called Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or, as we call it, Electronic Faithfulness, Too! You may already use this means to pay your mortgage, your car payment, tuition payments, or insurance premiums.
THRIVENT FINANCIAL for LUTHERANS offers us a program that is an opportunity to use modern technology to support mission at St. Andrew. Information brochures are available showing you how easy it is to plan your giving and carry out that plan. Just inquire with our Financial Secretary, Ava Higginbotham, 937-2776 ext. 23, and she will get the materials to you.

The Congregation Council approved our participation in this program. It costs the church nothing. All expenses are paid by THRIVENT. You can make use of it whether or not you are a member of THRIVENT. Of course, other electronic funds transfers can be arranged through our bank or yours but they will not be free. This is a good idea, and will be helpful for us in supporting the mission of St. Andrew in traditional ways, but now in a new way too! Every time an electronic transfer voucher is received, it is placed in the offering plate and on the Altar for blessing at worship that week.
We have learned that some Lutheran Congregations receive as much as 25% of their offerings in this helpful, simple way! Again, thank you for your regular support of the mission of St. Andrew! We invite you to consider making use of Electronic Faithfulness, Too!
MATCHING FUNDS...for gifts to St. Andrew CAMPING MINISTRY FUND or EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRY PROGRAM. New news...now for the first time St. Andrew is eligible for Thrivent Matching Funds (gifts of $25-100) if contributors are Thrivent members or if they have policies or funds with this fraternal group. Again, speak to Financial Secretary, Ava Higginbotham, 952-937-2776 ext. 23 or ahigginbotham@standrewlu.org for information and forms, and make your check out to St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Thanks for $450 in matching funds in 2002.
