All students 5th grade and older are invited to attend class and learn about this important sacrament. Registrations are currently being accepted. Form available at church or under First Communion.
Faith Formation
Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.
Deuteronomy 6:6–7
St. Andrew believes in supporting individuals and families as they pursue an ever-deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. Our faith grows through experiences like worship, learning, service and prayer.
Nursery
Childcare is available at both St. Andrew and St. Andrew West during the Saturday night and Sunday morning services. Please drop off children ages birth through 3 years to be cared for by staff and volunteers.
Splashed with Promise
"Splashed with Promise" is a ministry created to help the people of St. Andrew in fulfilling its promise to the families of our newly baptized — to help raise their children in faith and love — to know who Jesus is and what it means to share Christ's love with others. For more information about this new ministry, contact Gail Bach at
Church School
St. Andrew is a church family that welcomes children. We believe it is important that children spend time in worship on a regular basis and learn that they are welcome in the Sanctuary. Children's Sermons are part of all worship services, and Church School begins at the conclusion of the Children's Sermon.Register Here
First Communion
Holy Communion is a very special opportunity for Christians to receive God's love and grace. It is a Holy and Sacred privilege. In the Lutheran Church, youth of the 5th grade and older are invited to receive instruction and participate in this Sacrament. Classes usually occur in the spring. Please complete the registration form below.Registration Form
Worship Class
When our children are in 6th grade we teach them about worship — What is worship? Why do we worship? What are the different parts of worship? How can I be involved in worship? We are presently in the process of assessing and reshaping this piece of our faith formation ministry. If you have questions or would like more information about this, please feel free to contact Pastor Tasha at
or Pastor Alan at
Confirmation
Students begin confirmation as they enter 7th grade and will be confirmed in the fall of their 9th grade year. More Confirmation Information
Bible Study
A vital piece of faith formation for people of all ages is to dwell in the word, to spend time studying scripture, to ask questions and to discuss our faith with others. And it is in these conversations that we learn how we might live into our faith "when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise." St. Andrew offers many opportunities throughout the year for you to study and grow in your faith with others.
